One to One

You may be experiencing deeply personal issues that you would only feel comfortable sharing with one other person. You may be experiencing loss of partner, loss of a child, loss of job or perhaps you feel you have lost everything. Perhaps you think you are a ‘bad’ person and are living that thought life out in a very negative way, perhaps you believe ‘it is all your fault’ or that ‘you are a failure’ or you’re ‘not good enough’. There may be many and varied reasons why you would want to share on a 1:1 level. There may be some very dark reasons that need to be exposed and discussed. Whatever they are, we are here to help in a confidential, non-judgemental and empathetic way.   Our practice is fully supervised and insured.

Where do we Practise?

Sessions take place in Dinas Cross.  A one hour session costs £40.00.  Concessions available for lower income families and student rates available, please ask.

How Do I Book an Assessment?

It is important to know whether we are able to help with your issue.  To this end, we offer an initial free of charge half hour session. If we feel that you might be better suited to another counselling service, we will refer you to one more suited to your specific difficulty.  This is, however, also an opportunity for you to discover whether we are right for you.

How Does the Therapy Work?

We work integratively and may use any of the following techniques:

  • Gestalt
  • Transactional Analysis
  • Psychodynamic
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Our clients are always central to our practise and we therefore engage with the core principles of personal centred therapy; empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard with our clients. This approach is taken at all times during therapy.

*We also provide a Christian service offering prayer. This can be discussed during the initial assessment process should you wish to explore further.
